Colorado Country Music Expo Welcomes Front Range Recording Artist Mike Schikora

Singer/songwriter and musician Mike Schikora, a rustic cowboy who made his home in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, will be returning to take part in the first annual RW Colorado Country Music Expo July 10th and 11th. “This is a great opportunity for independent artists to be recognized and a way to thank the country fans who truly stand by us,” states Schikora.

Prior to taking part in the Expo, Schikora will perform July 9th at On The Rocks (228 Main Street in Lyons, CO) from 8pm to 11pm.

On Saturday, July 10, he plans to get up close and personal with his fans during the meet-n-greet that will take place at the Phil Long Expo Center from 10am-3pm. From there he travels to Golden, CO for a 5pm appearance at the Rocky Mountain Regional Rodeo at Jefferson Co. Fairgrounds, then he’ll take the stage later that evening at Cowboy’s Night Club (24 North Tejon Street in Colorado Springs, CO).

On Sunday, July 11, Schikora will return to the Expo to meet more fans and to open for the award-winning and most acclaimed bluegrass bands, The Grascals at 3pm.

Schikora is the real deal – a dying breed of ranchers/cowboys and a Rocky Mountain horseman. He rode his horse twice over the Continental Divide, started a Half Arabian Sport horse breeding business and continues to write songs for his publishing company, Tuck And Go Music. He stays humble and true to his country roots with musical influences including Chet Atkins, Floyd Cramer, Boots Randolph, Billie Holiday and The Judds.

Schikora’s latest album, This Cowboy’s In Love, is a foot stomping, western swing music mixed with jazz and blues. He brings the music alive and captivates audiences with his strong tenor vocals and unique melodies and songwriting.

The RW Colorado Country Music Expo is a “Fan Fair” event that dedicates an entire weekend in July to country music fans. With nearly a 10,0000 expected attendance, it is considered the largest meet-n-greet event in the West.
